Carbon friendly population control?

The United Nations Population Fund reported birth control could save the environment. People aren’t exactly carbon-friendly you know!  Save the environment with birth control?  I didn’t realize environmentalists were this far off their rockers.

A carbon-friendly human doesn’t exist, so the solution is to clearly stop the population growth.  While we’re talking about reducing human life to help the environment, why don’t we just go ahead and kill off the elderly while we’re at it!

Look at this from the Wall Street Journal on the subject:

One could equally make the argument that car makers should dispense with seat-belts—the better to rid the world of drivers of carbon-emitting automobiles—or that children should be encouraged to smoke from a young age, the better to shorten the years in which they too might emit untold quantities of greenhouse gas. Smoke, Die and Save the Planet—now there’s a credo for the folks in the anti-population lobby.

If you are so concerned about the environment, just sacrifice yourself for the environment and save the rest of us from having to listen to you.

Did you realize your tax dollars are funding this program?  While we are in the middle of an economic crisis, Obama has given $50 million in funding to the UN Population Fund. I protest the use of taxpayers money to support groups advocating free condoms and encouraging forced abortions in China.
