France the new conservative?

By ConcernedConservative on October 26, 2009

It would appear in the nuclear talks with Iran that the French, and not the United States are going to be the hard-liners.  With Obama kowtowing just to get the talks going when it is clear they will come to nothing, as they always have, are concerned citizens really going to have to rely on France to be the sensible party?

The previous bargaining with Iran consisted of bargaining to even discuss the topic of Iran’s nuclear power and weapons, now that we finally have the talks going, with Obama really just sit back and wait for them to offer to get rid of their nukes?

The French President Sarkozy has already voiced his opinion of Obama’s handling of the situation:

“President Obama, I support the Americans’ outstretched hand. But what did the international community gain from these offers of dialogue? Nothing.”

And look at his face after Obama railed away at the United Nations about a nuclear free world and didn’t even reveal the new evidence against Iran.

Wow.  Obama, the public is thrilled with your ability to be nice to the people who need it least and tick off your allies.
