Our President’s Failing Popularity

By ConcernedConservative on November 2, 2009

Barack Obama gained an approval averaged of 52.9% in his third quarter in office (July 20 through Oct. 19) according to the Gallop Poll. This drop in approval is down majorly from his previous quarter’s approval average of 62% making a total drop of 9.1% in his approval. That is the largest drop between those quarters for an elected president since President Eisenhower in 1953, and one of the largest quarter-to-quarter drops for any first-year president. This is pretty unimpressive for a man who is supposed to bring our country hope and change. If  Obama has promised us such great things, where are they?

Obama’s rankings thus far are one of the steepest for a president at any point in his first year in office. The highest drop in approval is Truman’s 19-point drop between his third and fourth quarters.  I still can’t get over the fact that our elected president, the one who will make this country great again, the chosen one, the only one who can bring us back to the top, and all the other lies we were told during elections, hasn’t done anything.  At least the American public is catching on to the fallacies we were being fed and it’s reflecting in his approval ratings.  It is becoming more obvious that Obama in fact isn’t the right man for the job, and it’s our job to do what we can now to make sure he doesn’t get a second term in office.
